Machine suitability:
This felt polishing flap disc is designed for use on an angle polisher with a 22.23 mm spindle. Always use an adjustable-speed angle polisher operated at a low speed. The maximum rated speed for this product is 8,500 or 7,700 rpm (depending on diameter).

Material suitability:
The FLS felt polishing flap disc has been designed especially for processing stainless steel (SST, Inox), e.g. 1.4031 (X5CrNi18-10 or 304) and steel (carbon steel – structural steel, St37, S235JR and 1.0037) and cast steels, as well as aluminium and other non-ferrous metals such as copper, brass and bronze, etc. Users will achieve very good results with the RHODIUS FLS on any of the materials listed here.

Structure and production:
RHODIUS felt polishing flap discs are made from high-quality wool felt. A choice of two hardness grades is offered: H25 (soft) for high-gloss polishing and H40 (hard) for pre-polishing.

Applications:
With a felt polishing flap disc, you can achieve surface treatment up to a mirror finish. RHODIUS felt polishing flap discs are suitable for both pre-polishing and high-gloss polishing – use the correct polishing paste for each type of application. Important: always use a new felt polishing flap disc for each paste.

Dimensions:
This felt polishing flap disc is available in the diameters of 115 mm and 125 mm, and with a flap thickness of 5 mm. The user can also choose a felt hardness grade of H25 or H40.
